The Banasura
Sagar Dam was built across the Kabini River in the Wayanad district. It forms a
part of the Banasura Sagar Project, which provides irrigation to thousands of
acres of agricultural land in the region. Visitors can enjoy boat rides here
while admiring breathtaking views of hills surrounding this dam from both sides
and several small islands created due to water storage here.
Located on the Kabini River, the Banasura Sagar Dam is one of the largest earthen dams in India. The dam and its surrounding areas offer tourists spectacular views of the Western Ghats.
